Job description:
The primary role of the HPC System Engineer is to help support and maintain specialized high performance cluster products, both in-house and at customer sites.
The System Engineer will be expected to participate in procuring hardware components, assembling cluster systems, installing firmware and software packages, conducting system characterization, benchmarking and performance tuning.
The System Engineer will also be assisting in daily IT support duties for internal users.
Job requirements:
BSCS/BSEE or higher.
3+ years experience as a Unix system administrator.
Experience writing scripts to automate system management tasks.
Computer skills: Linux operating systems. Bash, Python, Perl. Knowledge of basic computer networking.
Excellent communication skill and customer service altitude. Occasional international travel required.
